Erica Gerber, MScPT, BSc.
Registered Physiotherapist

In 2011, Erica graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Liberty University in Virginia, USA. During her studies she gained a core understanding of  human anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, and the effects of exercise on the human body. Erica then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from McGill University where she developed a specific interest in orthopaedic physiotherapy.

Recognizing the value that continuing education brings to her practice, Erica has taken courses within the McKenzie Approach (Lumbar Spine) and has been pursuing manual therapy certifications under the Canadian Physiotherapy Associations Orthopaedic Division. Erica has a background of involvement in competitive sport and understands the focus, discipline, and motivation needed to maintain a healthy physical condition. She combines this knowledge with her skills in manual therapy and exercise prescription in order to best help clients achieve their goals for recovery.

Stephanie graduated from Western University with both a BSc Honours Kinesiology in 2013 and Masters of Physical Therapy in 2015. Over the past couple years Stephanie has grown to embrace orthopaedics as evidenced by her advancement in learning. Stephanie is currently working on completing an Advanced Health Care Practice Program (MClSc) in Manipulative Therapy and becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Steph has completed a number of post-graduate courses to expand her knowledge base and hands on manual skills. Steph is currently practicing Acupuncture, Soft Tissue Release, Mulligan Concepts, and is a qualified TRX instructor which she often incorporates as part of her rehabilitation programs for her clients.

Stephanie works in the community as an advanced practitioner to an orthopaedic surgeon at Southlake Regional Health Centre, specializing in hips and knees. In addition to her clinical practice at ASMP, Steph is actively involved with CrossFit athletes in the community.  Her passions aside from physiotherapy include being as active as she can through TRX, yoga, spin class, weight training, and enjoying the outdoors in cottage country. Steph believes that it is important to keep moving, stay active and do what you love. The body was made to move, and physiotherapists can help you feel better, move better, and be better.
